Bio
Eleanor White is the Legal Technology Advisor at Shearman & Sterling LLP. Having over ten years of experience as an information professional, she started in data management within the energy sector before gaining her MA in Library and Information Studies from UCL. After transitioning into Legal Knowledge Management she found her interest in legal technology and currently drives Shearman & Sterling’s innovation efforts as part of the Client Value Team.
Contribution to Legal Tech
Eleanor works closely alongside legal teams to match legal technology solutions to lawyer requirements, overseeing product evaluation and implementation and advising clients on the uses of legal technology within the current landscape.
She co-led the project to define and centralise Shearman & Sterling’s legal technology governance framework and continues to lead adoption efforts through internal projects focused on increasing efficiency and productivity using legal technology.
Recently collaborating as part of the Barclays Innovation Consortium, she also contributed to the forthcoming edition of BIALL’s Legal Information Management journal sharing her experiences of running successful proofs of value based on projects resulting in the meaningful implementation of legal technology solutions.
